Bonus offer - don't let the bonus offers fool you

Our Betonline AG review looked at the bonus offers and found them severely lacking. We wanted to see how this casino would handle it because of its wide product offering. It seems the operators of this casino just decided to give everyone a poor welcome offer. This is almost the same thing we saw in the Dafabet promo code, but the difference is that we don’t trust this operator in the slightest.

The Betonline sportsbook bonus is a lame 50% deposit match of up to $1,000. You receive it by using a bonus code when making your initial deposit. Casino players can also claim an equally poor bonus, but here, it is a three-tiered 100% deposit match of up to $3,000. The final welcome bonus is reserved for poker players. You will allegedly receive a 100% first deposit match of up to $1,000, but we don’t believe it.

All of these offers are terrible because the terms and conditions attached make them almost impossible to achieve. Avoid this site!

Usability, look & feel - difficult to find what you are looking for

We instantly disliked the look of the site when we landed there during our Betonline AG review. Plus, after spending some more time playing around on the site we began to like it even less. The site is a pain to navigate as its layout does not lend itself to an easy to use experience.

All in all, the site could use some major improvements in terms of its usability. The webpages don’t load all that quickly and the entire feel of using the site is just all round below average. From checking out a hefty amount of previous user reviews we found that most users felt the exact same as we did after first checking out the site. So it’s clear that Betonline AG needs to put some more effort into the site itself. This is just one more reason why Betonline AG has found its way onto our list of sites to avoid.

    Payments - unreliable withdrawal process

Payment options are tricky to get right and Betonline found this to be true more than most. Just read some of our gambling reviews and you will see what we mean. But coming to this section of the Betonline review, we had a feeling about what to expect, especially since the review had already gotten off to such a bad start. All in all, there are a few payment methods to choose from.  Take your pick from credit/debit cards, money orders, internet transfers, person to person, and more. Just remember that US banks won’t work with an offshore gambling site like Betonline. Plus, there is nothing in the way of protection for users when making deposits and withdrawals as we couldn’t find any kind of 2-step authentication feature or any encryption that would protect your transactions.

Betonline AG advocates for the broad usage of alternative digital payment technologies when transacting in the casino. Using this method will earn you a poor first deposit bonus and even less on every reload after that. These payments are allegedly free for all transactions and you can take out as much as $100,000 – if you can believe that. Here, it would appear that Betonline AG are pushing you towards using deposits that are outside mainstream financial institutions. Having alternative digital payment options here is a big red flag as it allows players to bypass any banking issues and bet illegally. These offshore sites will almost always give you such payment methods as the main deposit and withdrawal option, which is a clear indicator that they are operating illegally outside of the US.

Customer service - service is substandard at best

If you have gone through our vetting system, you will be aware that we rate customer support highly. To see what we mean, you can check our Pots of Luck rating and also the Gentingbet review. We subjected the Betonline app to the same treatment and found that they came up way short of our expectations.

You can try to reach live customer support agents via live chat. The phone-in service is supposedly active 24 hours a day. You have an email for each product in Betonline AG. While Betonline AG may offer a couple of different contact methods for players to use, we found after testing each one of them that they were really slow to respond.

We asked a few direct questions and found the support staff members to be evasive as if they had been coached to avoid certain questions or not give straight answers to some of them. All in all, our experience using the customer support service on the site only further leads us to believe that Betonline AG is an online gambling establishment that should be avoided at all costs.

License & security - Is Betonline AG legit? Nope

So why shouldn’t you trust Betonline? Well, Betonline casino is regulated in Panama. In our learned opinion, this isn’t even close to being enough to suggest that this site is legitimate. This is one of the most lax gambling authorities that we have seen and plenty of shady online gambling sites receive their gambling licenses from here.

Betonline AG therefore operates as an offshore site outside of the US, which makes them wholly illegal for US citizens to use. You can technically sign up for them but that is the whole point of their offering, to circumvent the US gambling laws. There is no suggestion that they have received a license from any of the major US authorities or from the MGC or UKGC. As such, the answer to the question “is Betonline AG legit?”, for us anyway, is a resounding no.

Aside from that though, we were not impressed with what we found with regards to the security measures in place. With no sign of any encryption software on the site, we can’t in good conscience give this site a good rating to our readers.

Rewards & loyalty program - No loyalty rewards scheme

Our Betonline review did not find any loyalty rewards scheme in this casino. So, no big surprise here then. The site has done nothing to suggest that it would have a solid loyalty program now or in the future as its reputation for shady business makes that clear.

There are a couple of different promotions on the site that you can claim in place of a loyalty program but we would steer clear of these as they either have steep wagering requirements or they just generally seem to good to be true. Which we have come to learn almost always means that they are.

    BetOnline Sports Betting

    Betting markets - limited diversity

The Betonline sports compliment is poor and there is not enough for this site to warrant a strong rating, especially from what we have seen so far on the site. Bettors can place wagers in basketball, baseball, football, hockey, and only a few other American sports.

Betonline also offers odds in other smaller games like darts and lacrosse. You can also place wagers in politics, entertainment, and financial events. To be honest, it’s a poor offering compared to what you get at legit sportsbooks.

    Odds - not very competitive

The Betonline sportsbook, as we have already seen, offers limited options in the way of sports betting. In addition to this, the odds on offer are poor. Usually industry odds are pretty similar but Betonline have managed to offer odds that are well below par in our opinion.

    Disappointing live betting & streaming

There is a live betting feature that could do with a clean up. The functionality of the feature is poor as it takes ages to load, which is pretty much the worst thing you could have when you need to make bets quickly. There is a live streaming feature but it offers limited options in terms of the matches and events you can watch. More reasons to avoid Betonline.

    Limits - not enough flexibility

Betting limits are subject to change at any time and without notice. Betonline AG also reserves the right to set limits for any bettor as it sees fit. The casino does, however, provide a guide for reference. Limits are sport-specific, so you will see different numbers here. Football moneyline bets are capped at $100, while the same bet in the MLB accepts $10,000. All of which are much less flexible than what you get at legit online sportsbooks.

Product summary & conclusion - get your sports betting in somewhere else

Bettors looking for a broad range of markets and innovative odds should skip Betonline AG altogether. There may be some markets and sports available but from what we have learned, this is not a site that can be trusted.

    BetOnline Casino

Software - Betsoft is equally unreliable

The games lobby in Betonline AG comprises many titles from BetSoft. Betsoft has been known to have a lot of issues in the past so it’s only fitting that they are used by this poor online gambling platform.

While they have had their games provided by recognized software developers, we still can’t in good conscience suggest that this online casino is safe for you to use. As a whole, the Betonline AG platform seems shady to use, so we wouldn’t let the casino games fool you into signing up.

Game portfolio - poor selection available

Betonline has a couple of slots and a few table games to play but all in all, the selection is quite limited.

Specialty titles are also up for grabs. If you do not know what these are, they include games like keno and scratch cards. Betonline has more than 20 such titles. Again, they could offer you 100 different titles and we still wouldn’t trust this site as far as we could throw them.

Live casino - not worth the effort

The live games lobby in Betonline AG comes in two flavours, black and red – and they both suck. The black part of the lobby is provided by Fresh Deck studios.

The Red section houses games like blackjack, roulette, and baccarat. There are also two variants of super6 which are equally bad. You would think with two different providers that there would be plenty of options but it is quite the opposite. There are limited interactive games to play, which only serves to make the casino on this site less desirable.

    Limits - poor effort here

Table limits in Betonline are dismal, and like anywhere else, it all depends on the game you play. You can get going for $1 in some games, while others will demand you put up $5. These limits are much higher than you get at legit casino sites and show why you shouldn’t play at Betonline. The maximum table limits are not uniform either. You can select what you want, but the highest limit we came by in our review was $10,000. Again, much poorer than what you get at decent online casinos.

Conclusion - don't play at Betonline!

Players coming into the casino games lobby for the first time might be discouraged by the lack of some familiar names. You would be right, as this online casino has made its way onto our blacklist for very apparent reasons.

There are plenty of other online casino options on our site which we highly recommend that you check out instead of signing up to this less than reputable platform.

    BetOnline Poker

Software - poor developers on hand

Playing poker at Betonline AG is a nightmare with the casino’s new package. You can download the software onto your phone and install the poker mobile solution – but we’d advise against doing either. To be honest, anything that you would need to download from this site, we would avoid. Purely because we just don’t trust them enough.

Game types & rake - a shoddy gaming experience

Players will also find poor efforts of poker games like No Limit Hold Em, Americana, and Stud. The rake is slated at 7%, for all buy-ins in the various levels. While there are a couple of below par options for you to choose from, that is not enough for us to trust this site as an online gambling site let alone an online poker option for our readers.

    Tournaments - dismal offering here

Daily there are about five tournaments going and they are all equally bad. Daily options include the $1,200 guaranteed Hold Em and the Daily Dozen – both of which suck. Weekend poker tournaments are also available but they are not worth the effort. Every Sunday you can sit in on tournaments that can host as many as 20 players – much less than what you get elsewhere. There are a few tournament options but with the software being used, it doesn’t matter all that much as the gaming experience leaves a lot to be desired.

Limits - more reasons to skip Betonline

There are dismal table limits when playing poker here. Examples include fixed and pot limits. You will find that these differ depending on the game you play, but they are not competitive. It’s always a good idea to be fully aware of the game limits before joining a table, especially when using an untrustworthy gambling site like Betonline.

Product summary - Better poker sites to use elsewhere

This poker offering is nowhere near good enough for your average poker fan. That, coupled with the fact that the site is wholly untrustworthy, leads us to suggest that you should find almost any other poker site on our platform that we have reviewed instead.

We have plenty of other legitimate and reputable reviews that you can check out so be sure to comb through our site to find a more suitable option.

    Betonline AG review FAQ

    ❓ Is Betonline legit?

Legit casinos are regulated in the jurisdictions they operate in. The platforms also handle customer funds and data with the utmost care. Regulation also has many advantages, not just for players, but even for the casino. Some software suppliers will only deal with legit sites. If you want to learn more about how to tell if a site is safe to sign up to, have a look at our helpful guides and reviews where we take an in-depth look at licensing and security. Here’s a clue – don’t trust Betonline.

🎲 Can I play casino games on Betonline?

If you’re looking for casino games then you will surely expect quality and an all-round positive experience. From the design and usability of the site, to ease of payments, solid security and reliable customer service, our detailed reviews give you all of the facts you need to know in order to choose the right online casino and not play at Betonline.

👛 What payment options can I use in Betonline?

The best payment options do not just address the speed of disbursement, but safety as well. ⚡Does Betonline accept alternative payment methods?

Many of the best online gaming sites already offer payment processing through alternative digital payment technologies. This form of account settlement has many distinguishing features and sometimes it is used as a way to circumvent US gambling laws. Find out more about payments at Betonline and learn why you cannot trust this site with your cash.

Overall conclusion - Our negative thoughts on Betonline

Betonline AG is far away from being a legitimate online casino and gambling site. After reading our review, it should be clear why we have added this site to our blacklist. Mainly, that they operate as an offshore betting site, outside of the US gambling laws. This makes the site illegal for US citizens.

Another marker is how they push using alternative digital payment methods on you. This is to allow players to more easily use their sites as there won’t be any bank blocks preventing them from making deposits. There are plenty of other legitimate sites out there for you to use and you can find them all right here at For now though, we highly recommend that you steer clear of Betonline AG.

We’ve looked at the safety and security of Betonline and determined that they are far from safe to use. But is Ohmbet legit? What about William Hill, or Gentingbet? The only way to know is to consider the platform on its merits. You can read our William Hill review to see how we do it. With these operators, you are far more likely to have not only a safe gambling experience but a better one compared to the miserable experience you’d have at Betonline.
