Established in 2014, Bethard are an online sportsbook and casino that has a strong following in Scandinavia and the Netherlands.
They are owned by Gormadan Solutions Ltd, a company based in Malta, and a subsidiary of Worldclass Entertainment Ltd.
It is a betting firm that has a significant presence within the gambling industry, owning many established brands such as Sverige Kronan Casino, Norge Vegas Casino and Suomi Vegas Casino.
Their sports betting platform is provided by one of the leading sportsbook providers, Sbtech, who have a vast amount of experience and popularity with betting in Sweden, Norway and the Netherlands.
One of the key ways for a sportsbook or an online betting site to differentiate themselves from their competitors is through the types of offers and bonuses that they provide.
Bethard certainly don’t disappoint in that regard, especially with their sign-up bonus.
They offer new clients a 100% deposit up to a maximum of €100 (or equivalent currency) when creating an account.
Users are required to make their first deposit of €100 to unlock the maximum bonus, and once that has been completed, the concession will appear in their account.
As with any sign-up bonus, there is a list of requirements to unlock it. These include customers having to turn over the bonus 14 times at minimum odds of 2.0.
Alongside the standard sign-up offer, there are also competitions available to both new and current Bethard customers.
These include chances to win free bets and bonuses as well as prizes such as a paid trip to Los Angeles to meet their footballer ambassador, LA Galaxy striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
It can be said that other betting sites such as Unibet offer a more extensive list of offers for their clientele. However, in terms of their current place in the market, Bethard provide a decent service with their promotions and customers certainly won’t be too disappointed with what is on offer.
Bethard Mobile App:
Most sportsbooks have caught onto the fact that punters are starting to move away from betting on desktop sites to mobile and tablet applications.
Bethard can be included in that bracket, providing an application that offers a quick loading sportsbook and casino for Apple and Android devices.
On the app, customers can enjoy all of the features that can be found on the desktop version of the site, with thousands of markets available across a wide range of sports from around the world.
In-play betting works an absolute treat, with endless events to bet on and allows funds to be deposited and withdrawn quickly.
There is no doubt that Bethard have spent plenty of time and resources on developing the app, as it is fresh, intuitive and doesn’t suffer from slow loading times.
While some betting sites fail to offer the option or deliver a product that is difficult to use, Bethard have an app that is perfect for those who like to bet on the move.
Bethard offer a real alternative to the more established sportsbooks such as Paddy Power, with their superb array of sports markets and games for casino.Their in-play service has some eye-catching features that really enhance a customer’s betting experience, as it gives them greater control over their bets and the types of bets they are looking for.Other sites may well be more polished in their appearance and in the content that they provide, but in the space of four years, Bethard have created a quality product for both desktop and mobile bettors.
Like many sportsbooks, Bethard have adopted the standard three column layout for their website, with sports markets on the left, the latest in-play betting in the middle and features on the right.
However, that doesn’t mean to say that it is lacking originality.
Bethard have a quality product on display, with sharp graphics, enticing features, quick loading pages and plenty of space between the odds and different events, making it easy to navigate.
Everything is very clear and bright, perfect for both novice and experienced punters.
For a sportsbook of this stature, Bethard’s site definitely holds its own in terms of style and how it functions, with platform provider Sbtech certainly delivering a fine job.
Bethard claim to offer the fastest, safest and best payment methods in the industry when it comes to deposits and withdrawals. So far, customers have had no complaints in that regard, with pay-outs processed quickly and efficiently.
In terms of the banking options available, there are a decent range of methods to choose from, though it must be said that other online betting sites do offer a more comprehensive list.
Cards are accepted with Visa and Mastercard while e-wallets are also fine to use with the likes of Neteller and Skrill.
One thing to note for card users is that credit card transactions incur a 2.5% safeguard fee, but beyond that, there isn’t a fee for the other methods used.
Having launched in 2014, reviews of Bethard have mostly been positive, with customers generally pleased with the product and the level of customer service provided.
They have a 24-hour customer service that can be reached via live chat or e-mail.
Bethard representatives are able to answer any betting queries quickly and are very helpful in dealing with any concerns that a customer may have.
In addition to the live chat and e-mail service, there is also an FAQ section that can answer simple betting queries or problems.
A lack of a phone line is a drawback considering it is an option that most sportsbooks do provide, though having said that, the level of service via the live chat is second to none.
Bethard have licenses in Malta, with the prestigious Malta Gaming Authority, as well as in Curacao, though there is a strong Scandinavian influence in the technology and the way the service is run.
Bethard provide a strong range of sports to bet on as part of their sportsbook.
All the usual suspects are included with football, basketball, tennis and cricket, though horse racing is a major absentee from the 29 sports that they cover.
There are also a few minor sports that do catch the eye, such as surfing and table tennis, if betting on niche sports are your thing.
When it comes to depth in the markets, the football coverage at Bethard is impressive, with feature matches listing 130 different betting options, including Asian Handicaps.
It isn’t just feature sports that receive this level of detail with their markets, as sports such as ice hockey are also well covered, with odds on matches from 13 different countries around the world.
The level of detail and choice puts Bethard into a similar category with more established sportsbooks such as Paddy Power and Ladbrokes.
It is just a shame that horse racing, one of the staple sports to bet on, isn’t included and is an area where the company may want to look at to break into the real big time.
Bethard are a sportsbook who are always looking for new ways to enhance their product and one of the features that they have started to incorporate is betting previews.
Many of the established sportsbooks such as William Hill and Betfair provide in-depth previews on a wide range of sports, to inform and entertain their customers.
In this case, Bethard have followed suit, providing their own written betting previews for matches and tournaments on a range of sports, delivering key stats as well as tips.
There is no doubt that the previews are well written and full of detail, but they lack the finesse that other betting sites deliver, with visual content or blogs by well-known journalists and tipsters.
Bethard also have room for improvement when it comes to live streaming. At present, they are unable to offer live coverage of sports on their site, a feature that is becoming commonplace for many sportsbooks.
In-play bettors want to be able to watch and bet on sports at the same time, and if a particular sportsbook can’t deliver that, they will turn to an alternative site that can.
However, as we have seen with Bethard, this is a betting site that is always pushing forward, so it wouldn’t be a surprise to see a live streaming facility introduced at some point soon.
Bethard In-Play:
One of the major plus points when using Bethard is their in-play betting service.
With a live betting section that is equally attractive and easy to use, the variety of in-play betting options is truly what separates Bethard from their rivals.
The range of markets is huge, with Asian bets and alternative totals as well as some fantastic in-play betting features.
These include cash outs for accumulators, so it gives punters the choice to forfeit a bet during a match and run away with either a nice profit before the match ends, or save some cash on a losing bet.
Bethard also offer an in-play football betting feature called ‘Pulse Betting’. This involves betting on a goal to be scored in the next 30 seconds, next minute, next five minutes or ten minutes during a live match.
It really brings in-play betting to life, as punters have a greater level of control in placing a bet when they want to, rather than waiting for a particular market to pop up onto the console.
Not many sportsbooks can offer that level of specification for those types of bets so in that regard, Bethard are one of the leading lights in the field.
The only drawback with their in-play service is the absence of live streaming.
It is a feature that in-play bettors prefer to have, but Bethard do compensate with detailed graphics, so at least you have a sense of how a match is progressing.
Bethard Stats & Form:
Betting sites and sportsbooks are always looking to give a bit more to their customers to keep them interested, and the inclusion of stats and form guides is one of those ploys.
Bethard do provide a detailed statistics section that is perfect for punters to form their betting strategies. Powered by BetRadar, who deliver stats for a huge number of sportsbooks, the database on the site surveys a vast range of sports in incredible detail, so every type of bet can be covered.
Feature sports including football, tennis and rugby are well catered for, but you can also find specific stats for sports such as futsal and squash.
Looking at the football form guides in particular, punters can check out previous results, averages of goals per game in specific leagues and even card averages for certain teams.
As form guides go, Bethard provide one of the strongest in the business.
Bethard are a sportsbook and casino who are always looking to improve their product and their brand.
Launched in 2014 by an organisation with plenty of experience in the industry, they have quickly established themselves as a respected betting site who can give the likes of William Hill a run for their money.
Their slick website for both desktop and mobile, offers a superb choice of markets to bet on while their in-play service incorporates a couple of standout features.
There is a lot to like about what Bethard has to offer, and you do get the sense that this is just the beginning for them.
As with any relatively new sportsbook, there are areas to improve upon with the absence of live streaming for instance, but these are things that can be resolved relatively quickly and certainly isn’t a deal breaker.
If you are looking for an alternative to the established betting brands, Bethard are well worth a try.

New member here. So far impressed with the range of sports and odds on offer here.
Fingers crossed it stays like this.
Love it when there is a matched bonus on offer with a bookie. This one is a classic so well worth a quick sign up to try it.
Recommended.
Markets on offer here are superb. I like to keep trying different sports to keep things interesting.
Good job
Good value odds every time
As soon as I completed the welcome offer, I got a messages saying that I could no longer claim any promotions. I think this is really poor from a betting site.
was first ok, easy sign on, docs all verified
So I’ve been reading into some of these sportsbook reviews after being duped by Curucao based 20bet (literally a Russian scam) and decided to check out the reviews for Bethard since they’ve been the main one I use over the past year. I didn’t receive any welcome bonus so can’t comment on that, but in fairness my experience has been pretty positive in contrast to a lot of reviews on here. I seem to remember getting verified was a bit of a ball ache at first, but since then I’ve honestly never had a problem in about a year. The withdrawals are never questioned since the first one, and reach by online bank (N26) within 48 hours which I reckon is pretty decent. I’ve always found the live chat to be ok the few times I needed it. So what I’m saying is that this company definitely isn’t a scam in my book, although I would go through the process of verifying all your documents before you deposit after reading some of the other reviews.
Full coverage of poker and bingo, from reviews of providers to guides and much more besides!
