    On March 8, leading operator BetMGM and gaming company International Game Technology (IGT) launched the Wheel of Fortune Online Casino in New Jersey, making it one of the first brand-led online casinos in the United States.

    The online casino is named after the famous game show, Wheel of Fortune, which premiered its 40th season last September. Wheel of Fortune-inspired slot games have since dominated casinos across the United States for over 20 years, and the new casino serves as an expansion of the brand name into the digital world.

    The Wheel of Fortune Online Casino hosts a variety of slot titles from America’s Game trademark, sporting games and features from its two companies’ roster.

    BetMGM chief executive officer Adam Greenblatt expressed his excitement for New Jersey players, describing the possibilities of playing the iconic game show on one device.

    “We have a great alliance with Wheel of Fortune and IGT and look forward to offering our players innovative and diverse selections of gaming options,” Greenblatt said.

    Wheel of Fortune’s previous forays into the casino world include its highly successful slot machines manufactured and produced by IGT. Sony executive vice president of game shows, Suzanne Prete, painted the success and potential of the brand name amongst betting crowds.

    “We’re excited to see BetMGM build on that success and take an innovative approach to bring the game to more players by launching the brand’s first online casino in the U.S.,” Prete said.

    Gold-branded casino

    Produced by Sony Pictures Television, the Wheel of Fortune brand name is well known in all television-watching households. The show has earned seven Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Game/Audience Participation.

    Due to its sheer popularity, the brand has produced numerous PC, console and mobile games from 1987 up to 2017, along with its slot mentioned above machines.

    CEO of IGT’s digital & betting division Enrico Drago showcased his excitement in seeing Wheel of Fortune “break new ground” in the online casino world. He hopes the casino’s slot offerings can entertain and draw players to the brand.

    New Jersey players can now download the online casino on Android and iOS or access it through the Wheel of Fortune Online Casino browser website.
