Independent slot developer Thunderkick signed a partnership deal with gaming operator Betway to bolster the studio's position in the region.

With this partnership, three titles from Thunderkick will go live right away on Betway's platform, followed by several titles shortly. Those three games are Midas Golden Touch, Pink Elephants 2 and Sword of Khans. Betway will also showcase Thunderkick's future games, strengthening the developer's foothold in the UK.

"With an innovative and diverse portfolio of outstanding games to its name, we’re thrilled to be welcoming Thunderkick to Betway in the UK," said Anthony Werkman, CEO of Betway. "We strive to deliver the most enjoyable gaming content on our platforms and adding Thunderkick’s offering to our UK portfolio will no doubt be a hit with our customers."

Betway is considered one of the leaders in online sports betting and gaming brands. In addition to the UK, the operator functions in other regions such as the US, Europe and Africa.

Partnering with Betway is just one aspect of Thunderkick's business expansion strategy. Before finalising the deal with Betway, Thunderkick had already collaborated with the Skywind Group to reach Romanian players. Additionally, Thunderkick successfully entered the Ontario market after obtaining a provisional licence.

"Betway is one of the most instantly recognisable casinos in the UK market, and we’re extremely excited to be taking our fantastic games live on their platform," said Fredrik Ekholm, head of sales at Thunderkick. "With a huge player base set to discover our games, and with so many other markets in which Betway operates, we’re confident this will be a successful partnership and pivotal in our growth strategy for the UK market and beyond."

Thunderkick hired Svante Sahlström as CCO last month to oversee the expansion plan. In an interview with CasinoBeats, Sahlström said that aside from expanding Thunderkick's market, he also wanted to garner trust from the operators.

"While expanding our global footprint is important, especially into new markets across the Atlantic, I'm equally focused on deepening relationships with existing partners," Sahlström said.

Regarding Thunderkick's ambition, Sahlström mentioned that the developer aims to create future-proof slot content. The team aims to produce “classics that leave a legacy."
