The Warriors Suns matchup in the middle of the week received a ton of national attention as it was a likely early playoff preview between two of the top teams in the West. With football season still in full swing, the NBA spotlight isn’t as bright until later in the spring. The Warriors fell short on Tuesday night at Phoenix but got another crack at the Suns tonight at home in Golden State on Friday night in a game that won’t get the same national hype as the game early in the week but is equally as important.
In the East, the Nets and Bucks are both 8-2 in their last 10 games and look like the top two teams in the Conference as most expected them to be before the season started. The Bucks are finally getting over their NBA Title hangover from last summer and look poised to make another run to the Finals. Deandre Ayton and the Suns are on an 18 game win streak
The Warriors get their chance for revenge against the Suns Friday night at home and you have to think Steph Curry and Draymond Green are relishing another opportunity after Tuesday’s poor performance. Curry and Green combined for 20 points in the loss to the Suns in the first go around and you have to think their performance returns to the mean in their matchup at home. The Suns will be without Devin Booker for a few games after straining his hamstring in Tuesday’s game and this looks like the game that will finally snap the Suns 18 game win streak.

Lonzo Ball has provided a spark to the Bulls
The Bulls have been one of the biggest surprises in the East this season as Lonzo Ball, Zach LaVine, and Demar Derozen have been instrumental in the Bulls rebuild. Kevin Durant is the favorite to win the MVP and is averaging 28.5 points per game and looks like the Durant of old once again. The Nets have gotten solid play from LaMarcus Aldridge this year after he took a year off due to heart issues and he is averaging 13.6 PPG and has a 22.32 Player efficiency rating which is near the top in the NBA.
The Heat got off to a great start this year but have struggled recently and have fallen behind the Bucks in the East. The two teams face one another in Milwaukee Saturday night in what could be an early-season Eastern Conference playoff preview between teams that will be there at the end of the season. Giannis has been on fire over the last week and his PPG average is up to 27.6, while still averaging 11 rebounds and 6 assists per game. The Heat have a deep squad led by Jimmy Butler and Kyle Lowry and this should be a great matchup between the last two Eastern Conference champions.

The Nets are still the favorites to win the NBA title which is a bit of a surprise considering the way the top teams in the West are playing. The Suns at +1100 seem like a good value play as they have shown they have the shooters to match up with the Warriors.
Stephen Curry is the current favorite to take home the MVP title as he has had a resurgent season after battling injuries over the past couple of years. Giannis and Kevin Durant are also playing extremely well and the MVP award will likely go to one of these three players this year.
