NBA Draft: First Overall?

At the beginning of the season it looked like Paulo Banchero (now +325) or Ochai Agbaji (now +25000) could of gone first overall. However, the conversation has turned to scoring-sensation Jabari Smith Jr. out of Auburn (+100) or multi-tooled Zag, Chet Holmgren (+125). Last year it was Cade Cunningham first overall to the Pistons out of Oklahoma State.

Last year the Orlando Magic had the fifth pick overall and selected Jalen Suggs from Gonzaga, who shined early, but was plagued with injuries (fractured thumb and end of season ankle surgery). It would make sense to take Gonzaga-teammate, Holmgren, especially if they think he has generational diversity. Oklahoma City picks second (and three times throughout the first round alone), and would be happy to pick either Smith or Holmgren, whoever doesn’t go first overall. Of course they could go with Paolo Banchero out of Duke. He didn’t quite play up to his name this year, as Coach K’s final season landed in a bit of a disappointment.
