In the latest Manchester United news, midfielder Marouane Fellaini is confident next season will “big” for both himself and the club despite being out of contract in the summer.

The Red Devils are currently second in the Premier League table with three games to play and have a five-point cushion over Liverpool.

They also have a game in hand over the Reds and look in a great position to qualify for the Champions League next season.

Jose Mourinho’s men can still win silverware this term after reaching the FA Cup final against Chelsea on May 19, and Fellaini is confident they can look forward to a bright future.

He was the hero on Sunday, scoring the winning goal to help United beat Arsenal 2-1 at Old Trafford but is out of contract in the summer and, despite talks stalling, has hinted at extending his stay at the Theatre of Dreams.

He told Sky Sports: “We have to continue, we have three games to prepare for the final. Of course, a club like Man United have to be in the Champions League. But we have to improve.

“I think next season is a big season for us. It will be the third year of the manager (at the club) so we have to try to win the league.”

The 30-year-old has been a divisive figure since joining in 2013 from Everton but he proved his worth on Sunday. He will be hoping to be part of the team that play in the FA Cup final, with United 6/4 to win the game with Bet365.
