In the latest Huddersfield news, David Wagner insists his side will continue to fight for every point as they look to stay out of the bottom three.
Huddersfield claimed a shock promotion to the Premier League last season after coming through the play-offs to secure their spot in the top flight.
The Terriers made a strong start to the 2017-18 campaign but have struggled to remain consistent and are in danger of suffering an immediate return to the second tier.
Their form in the second half of the campaign looks like it could prove costly while they have only managed to win three times on their travels all term.
With just one win in their last seven Premier League outings, they head into Sunday’s clash at Manchester City sitting 16th and only two points clear of the drop zone.
The West Yorkshire outfit fell to a 2-1 defeat when they hosted City earlier in the campaign, having taken the lead, but with City looking to set Premier League records, it looks likely to be a tough afternoon at the home of the champions.
Last weekend’s defeat to Everton leaves Huddersfield with little opportunity to claim further points as they take on City, Chelsea and Arsenal in their final three games.
However, Wagner remains defiant and insists his men will continue to fight as they attempt to keep their heads above water.
Wagner said: “We are in a position which nobody expected with three games to go.
“We have everything in our hands, we are fighting, we have a real big, proper chance to reach an unbelievable target, to finish the miracle we are still working on.
“First chance, Man City, difficulty one, no doubt about it but afterwards Chelsea and Arsenal; great opponents, big names, exciting opponents.”
