In the latest Crystal Palace news, Wilfried Zaha has reiterated his desire to stay at the club after revealing he has “no plans on leaving” this summer.
Ivory Coast international Zaha has been in fantastic form for Palace this season and his impressive performances have been key in ensuring the club’s Premier League survival.
The 25-year-old, who was named the club’s player of the year for the third successive campaign, has scored nine goals from 29 league appearances and all of those strikes have come in victories or draws for the Eagles.
English champions Manchester City, who amassed 100 points this term in a record-breaking season, were said to be showing a keen interest in the forward, sparking rumours of a potential £50million summer bid.
Tottenham Hotspur have also been credited with an interest for the past two years and it is claimed manager Mauricio Pochettino is still intent on wrapping up a deal in the upcoming transfer window.
However, Palace fans can breathe a sigh of relief ahead of the new campaign after Zaha revealed he has no intention of leaving Selhurst Park for the second time in his career.
“I have no plans on leaving,” he said. “I’m enjoying my football, you can see how much I’m enjoying it. This is my home and there’s no reason for me to leave.”
Zaha, who won his first Premier League Player of the Month award in April, left Palace back in 2013 to join Manchester United but, after an ill-fated spell at Old Trafford, he returned to the Eagles permanently in 2015, where he has now become a club legend.
Manager Roy Hodgson will now be looking to strengthen the squad ahead of another year in the Premier League and the London outfit are 500/1 with William Hill to win the title next season.
