In the latest Brighton news, coach Chris Hughton believes his side still need to pick up more points this season to make sure they avoid relegation.
The Seagulls are 13th in the Premier League table and many of their fans will have expected to avoid the drop at the start of the year.
Hughton’s side went on a seven-match unbeaten run in all competitions but they have now not won since March 4.
Four defeats in six matches have seen Brighton drop down the table and they are seven points above the drop zone.
They have a game in hand over some of their rivals and Hughton is urging his players to get the job done.
He said: “It is certainly good to have the points in the bag, certainly I’d rather be in the position where we have got points rather than chasing them.
“We know we have work to do still, everyone is aware of the challenges that we have, the magnitude of the games that we have.
“But we will go into every game trying to get points and believing we can get points and, until we are in a position that we are over the line, we can’t rest easy. Our mentality is to win as many points.”
Hughton’s side face Burnley at Turf Moor on Saturday before welcoming Manchester United to the AMEX Stadium.
They end the campaign with tough games against Manchester City and Liverpool so the clash with the Clarets could well be their best chance of picking up more points.
Burnley are favourites to grab all three points and they will be hoping to use their home advantage. However, Brighton have what it takes to win and they are priced at 13/5 with Skybet.
