We are getting closer to the all-star break and it looks like we have a handful of teams that are contenders for the NBA title this year. One of those teams-the Warriors got a big boost over the past week when Klay Thompson returned from a two-year absence due to leg injuries. Thompson looked great in his first game back against the Cavs and showed explosiveness and still had his outside shooting touch in limited minutes.
The East is loaded with contenders this year and only a few games separate the 6 seed Cavs from the top seed Bulls. The Sixers have been on a tear over the last few weeks going 8-2 with big wins against the Nets and Wizards. Joel Embiid has taken his game to a new level this year and is turning into a dominant force in the paint in a league that has moved away from the traditional center position in recent years.
Lonzo Ball and the Bulls are one of the most exciting teams to watch in Basketball
Fanduel has a parlay with long odds that I think has a decent chance to hit in the Bulls vs. Nets matchup. I like the Bulls to find a way to win at home with James Harden out for the Nets and think the biggest test for this parlay will be if Lavine can get over 25 points.Lavine is averaging right at 25 on the season but the Nets length should prevent some challenges defensively.

I have a feeling the Bulls will be looking to put on a big show on the national stage and come out the gates well offensively. If the Nets have to play from behind they can shoot as good as anyone so I think this could be one of the highest-scoring games of the season from two of the most athletic teams in the NBA.
One of the biggest games this week will be the young Bulls teams taking on the Nets at home in a big matchup of the top two Eastern Conference teams. The Bulls have been one of the big surprises in the league this year as not many people had them on any of the early season playoff predictions. Demar DeRozan is having a career year and is thriving as the primary scoring option and is averaging 26 points per game. Zach Lavine and Lonzo Ball give the Bulls the most athletic guard tandem in the league and have been great on the defensive end. With this game being on the road, Kyrie Irving is eligible to play for the Nets and it will be interesting to see how he does against Lavine and Ball.
Kyrie has looked sharp in limited action on the road
Another big potential NBA finals preview takes place tomorrow in Milwaukee between the Warriors and Bucks. This will be the first time the Warriors have played the Bucks this year with their reinvigorated roster. The Bucks like to use Giannis in the paint to dictate the pace of the game and the Warriors prefer to push the ball and shoot the long ball, so we will have two contrasting styles on Thursday night that should make for a great watch.
The game I am most looking forward to watching this week is the Warriors vs. Bulls on Friday night. The Bulls have one of the few rosters that could slow down the Warriors guard play and excellent three-point shooters and will get a chance to build confidence in a big home matchup.
The Warriors have struggled in the last couple of weeks after a hot start and will look to get back on track with big road wins against the Bucks and Bulls this week.
