Barcelona News: Alba hoping for permanent Barca stay

In the latest Barcelona news, left-back Jordi Alba insists he is not looking to move to the Premier League this summer and he wants to remain at the Nou Camp for the rest of his career.

Alba has spent the last six years with the reigning La Liga champions after he decided to leave Valencia.

The 29-year-old has enjoyed a superb spell with the Spanish giants, helping the club win 13 trophies during that time.

He has won the La Liga title on four occasions as well as four Copa del Rey crowns. Alba has also lifted the Champions League and FIFA Club World Cup and his form has caught the eye of a number of clubs.

Tottenham are reportedly ready to launch a bid as they prepare to lose Danny Rose but Alba insists he is happy to remain with Barca.

He signed a five-year deal in 2015 that included a €150million buy-out clause and Alba admits he wants to stay put.

“It also depends on my performances, which this season have been very good, but I don’t see myself away from Barca,” he said.

The defender is currently away at the World Cup in Russia and helped Spain record a 1-0 win on Wednesday night against Iran. Spain have now moved top of Group B alongside Portugal ahead of their final group game against Morocco.

The two teams will meet on Monday in Kaliningrad and Fernando Hierro’s troops are expected to cruise to victory. Striker Diego Costa has netted first for Spain in their last two matches and he is 11/4 to do it again with Skybet.
