BallyBet released its sports betting app in the state of New York last Thursday. It is currently available for download on Google Play and the iPhone App Store with promos to grab in the following days. Bally Bet is the ninth and last operator to enter the New York market.
New York is the fifth state BallyBet offers its services. The company is also the last to receive a license in the Big Apple as New York only allows nine to operate in the state. There will be no more companies joining the state’s sports betting market since BallyBet fills the last slot.
BallyBet enters New York in a consortium with BetMGM, DraftKings, and FanDuel. The three other leading sportsbooks in the state are Caesars, PointsBet, and BetRivers.
The Bally Bet app will activate its promo in New York within a few days. The promos will include exclusives for New Yorkers only.
Bally Bet is a subsidiary of the Bally’s Corporation, owner of multiple casino and resort properties and race tracks across the U.S. The Corporation operates the online gaming product division of Bally’s Interactive.
New York is the biggest gambling market in the country as proven as it generated the highest total handle month in the U.S. of $1.2 billion last May. It is even more impressive as online sports betting just started six months ago on January 8, 2022, but the amount wagered already leads the country.
New York received $1.6 billion of the total handle from sports betting in the first month of legalization. The number was leveraged by the Super Bowl occurring at the time. The figure is constant at $ 1 billion and more in the following months. The incredible success leads to $300 million of tax revenue for the state.
Bally Bet is also available in Colorado, Indiana, Iowa, and Virginia.
