The Home of F1: 2022 Formula 1 British Grand Prix

There are three races in Europe that we refer to as the “big three”. Monza hosts the Italian Grand Prix, and Spa Francorchamps hosts the Belgian Grand Prix. Just before the summer break though we go to Silverstone, the birthplace of Formula 1 and home to the British Grand Prix. Silverstone is often considered the home of F1 because most of the teams’ HQ’s are just a stone throw from the famous circuit. Expect for Ferrari, Sauber (Alfa Romeo), and Haas of course. This former British air force base has become a circuit with a length 5.891 km. It has hosted the British Grand Prix since its inception in late 40’s and early 50’s. It has 18 corners with a mixture of slow and fast speed corners. This circuit is very technical and one that drivers love.

The Silver Arrows & Their All British Lineup

Lewis Hamilton is the driver who loves this track more than anyone else. He has eight wins and has surpassed the record set by Alain Prost and Jim Clark, who each have six wins. Although Lewis is the most successful driver in terms statistics, he can also be quite good on the track if he has a decent car under him. He seemed more at ease than ever in Canada with this year’s car and claimed a podium whilst George, his teammate, stuck close behind and took fourth place. Mercedes has already stated that they will be bringing more upgrades and improvements to Silverstone in order to improve their team’s performance. Although it is a higher mountain to climb than expected, I believe that a win is possible for the silver Arrows. You shouldn’t discount their chances of winning, but if you want to bet safe then why not try betting on one of their drivers getting on the podium? Here’s a comparison of the best odds to win Formula 1.

Red Bull vs Ferrari: The Continuation

The Ferrari is better suited for the Silverstone circuit than the Red Bull, or at least this prediction can be made over one lap. Charles, is almost certain to win a pole here and that’s another safe bet though It’s clear that Max has the advantage for the race. However, if Ferrari have any tricks up their sleeves, they could win this race easily if they overcome all their reliability problems and get their strategy department in order. Max, the reigning world champion, has Sergio Perez as his teammate closely following in the championship battle. With the car he has, the Mexican believes he can win the championship. He’s not wrong, he’s proven us just how cool headed and competent he can be. I don’t think he will ever see himself as another Rubens Barrichelo. I believe he should try for the championship, as he might not have another chance in the near future. Charles Leclerc is currently in third place in the driver standings with Sergio is three points ahead. Max had a big shunt last season after he clipped Lewis Hamilton’s wheel at Cops Corner. He would need to tiptoe around there to avoid another collision. Though that would make it more exciting in terms of the drivers championship. Regardless who you think might win, make sure you use The best online bookmakers that will allow you to place your bets on Max and Charles.

Other notable drivers

Alex Albon and Lando Norris are two other local boys looking to make a mark at Silverstone. Although Alex is British, he races under a Thai flag. After being absent for a few years, the Williams driver has had a decent year and is doing marginally better than Nicholas Latifi who claims that his chassis is vastly different from Alex’s. Lando Norris, who is driving a struggling McLaren team that has not maintained their consistency over the past few years, would love to see a decent result. Aston Martin, who have their headquarters and factory right across the street from the circuit, is also hopeful. This is as real as you can get for Aston’s home Grand Prix. Seb Vettel had a good result in Canada and he isn’t shy about winning here with two wins. Although he may not be in a winning position, I believe he will still be trying to score good points this weekend.
