The thing about betting on sports is that sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. If a proposed bill in the New York State Assembly becomes a law, then it will be the responsibility of online sports betting sites to let players know exactly how they are doing with their bets.
Assembly Bill A10329 would make it mandatory that sports betting operators supply a monthly update of every player’s betting ledger. These account activity statements would be delivered via push notifications sent directly to every customer’s mobile device.

Indeed, this data is currently accessible to every player by searching through their personal account. However, the proposed change would put the information directly in front of their eyes every month. This change would make it far easier for bettors to track exactly how much and how often they’ve been betting and provide them with a clear picture of how they are faring financially with their sports wagering.
Under the terms of the bill, the data must be made continuously accessible through the bettor’s account. At a minimum, the information that must be included will be the total amount of funds deposited during the reporting period, the total amount wagered during the same period, and the total amount of winnings and losses during the period.
Other data that will be mandatory includes the net gain or loss incurred by the authorized sports bettor, the total number of wagers placed, and the total amount of time the authorized sports bettor was logged into the mobile sports wagering platform. Access to a bettor’s lifetime sports betting history must also be delivered.
The betting sites must also supply an itemized accounting of any promotional credits, bonuses, or free wagers utilized, and a prominent and clear disclosure of responsible gaming resources, including information regarding the state’s voluntary self-exclusion program and problem gambling assistance services.
Each player’s sports betting statement shall be provided no later than 15 days following the end of each calendar month. It will be the responsibility of the state gaming commission to establish protocols for these statements. This would include the establishment of standardized formatting, clarity requirements, and any additional disclosures necessary to ensure such statements are readily understandable to authorized sports bettors.
The bill was introduced by Assemblywoman Rebecca Kassay, a Democrat representing Suffolk County. The bill has been read once in front of the State Assembly. It had since been referred to the Committee on Racing and Wagering.
A total of $26.3 billion was wagered on sports betting in New York in 2025 via online sportsbooks and mobile apps.
“Unfortunately, we are seeing a rise in gambling addiction due to these sports betting apps,” Kassay told TBR News Media.
If signed into law, Bill A10329 would be enacted on January 1 of the following year.
