Popular Types of UFC Bets
How to Bet on UFC: Moneyline
Moneyline is popular bet in many sports because of its simplicity. The same can be said for moneyline bets in UFC. For a moneyline bet all you have to do is pick the winner in a particular fight. However, each fighter will be given different odds so the amount of money you could potentially win will be different depending on who you choose.
For instance, UFC 272 was headlined by the fight between Colby Covington and Jorge Masvidal. The moneyline odds before the fight were Covington -325 and Masvidal +250. The minus sign denotes that Covington is the favorite whereas the plus sign means Masvidal is the underdog. The minus also means that's how much money you would have to bet in order to win $100. The plus sign tells you how much money you'd win if you bet $100.
So in this case if you bet $325 on the Covington moneyline and Covington won, you'd get $100, plus your initial stake of $325. Alternatively, if you bet $100 on the Masvidal moneyline and he were to pull off the upset, you'd get $250 plus your initial $100. There's more money to won betting the underdog, but it's more likely for the favorite to win and that's exactly what happened at UFC 272.

How to Bet on UFC: Method of Victory
Whereas sports like basketball, baseball, and football all have point spreads to bet on, the UFC does not. However, you can pick how a fight will end, whether that be by knockout, submission, decision, or even the rare disqualification. You wager on a method of victory from an individual fighter or for either fighters. For instance, if two powerful heavyweights are duking it out, it's smart to bet on the fight finishing by KO. However if there's a great submission artist fighting a weaker opponent it's better to specifically choose that one fighter to win by submission.

How to Bet on UFC: Round Betting
This in effect is a bet on how long a fight will last. The sportsbook will give you a number like 1.5 rounds and then an odd associated with that fight going over 1.5 rounds, and another odd associated with the fight staying under 1.5 rounds. For instance, if a fighter is knocked out in the first round, the under would cash. However, if both fighters started the second round then the over would cash.
For these bets it's good to look at both fighters previous finishes. Is a fighter known to win in a decision? Look to take the overs. Is a fighter known to come out swinging and end things early in fights first couple rounds? If that's the case think about take the under at 1.5 or 2.5 rounds.

How to Bet on UFC: Fight Props
Just like in other sports, props are individual things that you can bet on either happening, or not happening. For instance in the UFC there are props like whether a fight will go the distance and need to be decided by the judges, whether that judges decision will be a unanimous, or split decision, will a fight end in the first minute, or what time in what specific round a fight will finish in.
There are numerous other fight props that show up from time to time, so be sure to have a look at your favorite online betting sites in the lead up to a fight.

How to Bet on the UFC: Fight Parlays
Similar to other team sports, parlays are a big part of the UFC betting landscape as well. You can take all of the things previously mentioned and combine them into one parlay for an even bigger payday. You can choose which fighter will win, by which method, and in which round and you get them all right there's a large payout in store for you. However, if you get just one pick (also known as a leg) wrong, your whole parlay will lose.
Parlay's can be fun and exciting, but be sure to do your research ahead of time as the stakes are even higher if you're hoping for that big payoff.

How to Bet on the UFC: Futures Betting
The classic futures bet is exactly what it sounds like. You're betting on what you think will happen at some point in the future. For the UFC this generally picking who will be the champion of a weight class on a future date. Will the champion hold onto his belt? Is there an up and coming fighter that no one expects? If you know the answers to those question there is plenty of money to be made betting on UFC futures.
