Letou Review and Promo Codes

Letou is a name that may be unfamiliar to many in the UK, but in Asia, it is considered to be the first online gaming company in that part of the world.

Established in 2004 and run by TGP Europe Ltd, Letou has a licence issued in the Isle of Man and in the United Kingdom by the Gambling Commission. They were also awarded a license by the Philippine government in conjunction with Kage Yang Cagayan Leisure and Resort Corporation, for the provision of services to punters there.

Having made their name in online gaming, Letou have decided to branch out into the sports betting sphere, providing customers with over 500 types of sporting events per day, as well as offering digital gaming and live casino services.

With such fierce competition in the sports gambling scene, Letou hope that their sponsorship deal this season with Swansea City will provide them with greater exposure, such is the global reach of the Premier League.

Letou Overall

With so much competition, there is plenty more work for Letou to do if they are to compete with the very best in the business.

There is no doubt that they offer strong odds and a comprehensive sportsbook, but there isn’t anything to really make them stand out, especially with a lack of live streaming and visuals for in-play betting.

Letou have made significant improvements recently, including the introduction of welcome offers for new customers.

However, in an ever-changing industry, they still fall far behind many of the trendsetters within the sports betting industry.

Letou User Interface

It is very much functionality over aesthetics when it comes to Letou’s main site.

At first glance, the site is rather bland, with a plain white background making the options available clear to see.

Letou at least highlight their big offer of the day for new customers at the top of the screen, which is usually a price boost on a particular event or match.

As you scroll down the site, the sportsbook, live betting and casino sections of the site all run smoothly, with the layout for each all very simple.

The sportsbook in particular does contain some very nice features, including the ‘Last Minute Bets’ section, which reminds users of when a particular sporting event is about to start, so they can get their bets on before it gets underway.

Furthermore, there is also the option to switch between live and pre-match betting with one click of a button while you can also switch between fractions and decimals, depending on your betting preference.

Letou Betting Markets

Despite not being one of the most well known companies on the sportsbook scene, Letou do offer an extensive amount of services, with the two main areas focusing on sports and casino.

In terms of the online casino, there are a number of slots on offer, including jackpots, games and video poker. A positive feature of Letou’s casino services is that you can play each game on the casino in a demo version first. That means you can test out the game before placing any money.

Moving across to the sports markets, Letou cover a huge range of sports, from football and horse racing to more obscure sports such as surfing.

There is great depth to the markets, with 500 different events to bet on every day.

Of course, there are the standard betting markets you would expect to find such as points, goals and handicap markets. There are also markets for specific periods within an event, such as the time of the first goal in a football match.

One way that Letou do catch your eye is that the minimum bet accepted is very small, much smaller than if you were betting in a physical betting shop. It is only 0.10p or the currency equivalent, which you can use for any sports wager, including accumulators.

This is something that will definitely appeal to both regular and occasional punters.

As with most betting sites, Letou do offer a partial or full cash out on your active bet. If you cash it out partially, you can leave the rest as an active bet with the same odds by adjusting the slider to the amount you want to cash out.

Letou Bonuses

Usually with most bookmakers and betting sites, the welcome bonuses and promotions that they have to offer are the main attractions for new customers.

In the past, one of the major criticisms of Letou had been their lack of a welcome bonus for new customers, with the company instead rewarding the customers they already have.

In the past few months however, that has now changed with Letou recognising the importance of putting out eye-catching promotions to attract new customers from their rivals.

They now offer a different welcome offer every day, which usually centres around a price boost on a particular event.

For instance, one of these offers included placing a first bet of exactly £5 on Chelsea to beat Watford at the normal website odds and if the selection won, Letou would enhance your account to their price boost price of 7/2. This would then be credited as a bonus token, which would be valid for five days.

This is very much a step in the right direction but compared to the likes of 10Bet who have a number of different bonuses for sport and casino, Letou still trail far behind in that aspect.

Letou Banking

Letou accepts a number of different ways to deposit funds including Visa and MasterCard along with e-wallets such as Skrill. The minimum deposits you can make are very low, with just £5 needed when depositing with a card.

Deposits are normally instant, with it appearing in your sports betting account as soon as you hit the pay button.

Withdrawals on the other hand, may take longer with 3-5 days for credit and debit cards while it can be up to 24 hours or less for e-wallets.

It is worth noting that there aren’t any processing fees for any transaction made from or into your Letou account.

Letou Live Streaming and Content

Live streaming has become one of the key developments for in-play betting in recent years.

Unfortunately, this isn’t something that Letou currently offer and that is major negative when it comes to the overall in-play experience that they offer.

Punters want to be able to bet as they watch live sports, with most major online betting sites providing live pictures, commentaries and stats on a whole host of different sports.

Letour simply offer updated prices for their in-play betting and that falls well short of the standards that have been set by their competitors.

Letou In-Play

In comparison to the likes of William Hill, Letou’s in-play betting experience has a lot of catching up to do.

Whereas other companies provide live stats, team information, commentaries and visuals, Letou only provide live odds.

This does dampen the in-play experience somewhat, as customers want a live betting experience of being involved in the action as it happens.

That said, the number of markets on offer is very good, with over 25,000 events each year available to bet on live with Letou. There is a variety of sports to bet on in-play, including football and basketball, which is very much on par with a number of the larger sportsbooks in the market.

Letou Stats and Form

Letou may struggle when it comes to offering live streaming but in terms of stats and form guides, they are up there with the very best.

Under the information tab on the main site, punters can access a comprehensive catalogue of stats on a variety of sports. Many of Letou’s rivals only provide stats for major sports, but here, punters can look at the form on sports such as badminton, curling and speedway.

The depth of the form guides, especially with the football, is also impressive as punters can check out stats such as results, how many times a certain amount of goals has landed per game and even the strike-rates of certain handicap markets.

The range of stats that Letou offer is one of their strongest selling points and it is a shame that it doesn’t get more exposure on the main site.

Letou Customer Satisfaction

Letou may be one of the more relative newcomers to the sports betting scene, but they have developed a positive reputation amongst customers. The customer support service is both fast and friendly, with users of the site able to speak to a support team 24/7 via live chat and email.

It could be improved further though.

Their customer service email address is hidden behind a number FAQs, which even though is clear and detailed; they may not be what every customer is looking for. This is especially the case for those who have more complicated issues that need addressing.

In terms of customer safety, Letou are licensed and regulated by the Gambling Commission, IBAS and GambleAware.co.uk, so users are well catered for in that regard.

Our Opinions of Letou

This online gaming company is still struggling to find its sweet spot in sports betting. It has spent profusely on EPL sponsorship and has the basics covered. However its offerings and features are uninspiring.

  1. Strong odds and a comprehensive sportsbook
  2. Offers and bonuses are not competitive to top sportsbooks
  3. Few media content offerings
