EnergyBet Review and Promo Codes

EnergyBet, based in Malta and licensed to operate online in Malta and the United Kingdom, hasn’t been around long but has made a big impression in a short time. It is run by Probe Investment Limited and was initially established as EnergyCasino, in 2012, which immediately made an impact. The EnergyBet operation was soon added in 2016 as the online sports side of their casino activity.

It’s a new and exciting brand already making waves in a competitive marketplace. They have to impress and operate the right way to secure their UK licence, but they are doing it with vigour and attention to detail that is attracting new custom because of the quality of their operation.

EnergyBet won the SBC Rising Star in Sports Betting award in 2016, the 2017 Malta iGaming Excellence in Customer Service award winner and was nominated for the Global Gaming Awards Best Digital Operator in the same year.

The casino arm of the operation has always taken priority – it was established first, but that hasn’t detracted from the company’s obvious ambition to take their sports betting operation from strength-to-strength. The sports operation has already seen a solid growth in traction and customer take-up and the noises are all positive. All coverage of EnergyBet has been positive and there appears a genuine admiration that small business from Maltese roots has gone toe-to-toe with the big boys in the UK market and is more than holding its own. That buzz is likely to become a roar if the initial progress is maintained.

That EnergyBet drive is further illustrated by a very active marketing strategy sponsoring top athletes and teams, sponsoring Millwall and Leyton Orient and becoming the betting partners of Aston Villa. It’s a measure of their lofty aspirations and also illustrates a strong commitment to the UK football betting markets, which has been their main focus and are as good as any available.

They also have a group of EnergyGirls at many top sporting events to catch the eye and spread the message. The girls are as active on social media as EnergyBet, the two complimenting each other nicely.

EnergyBet describe themselves as a company “with a commitment to offering competitive odds” and “the perfect choice for today’s demanding sports betting customer”. They have made the decision to avoid the more traditional horse racing and greyhound markets and instead concentrate their activity on a huge range of other sports betting markets which they provide exceedingly well.

It is obvious that they are putting the effort in to ensure they become established as a leading player. They are obviously moving in the right direction and have stated plans to develop a mobile app and live streaming.

EnergyBet Overall

EnergyBet is a sleek operation for the non-horse racing punter. A wide range of markets and events will appeal and the in-play options are particularly impressive. The odds available are highly competitive as the company seeks to strengthen their foothold in the marketplace.

They have grown a range of enhancements and bonuses, which match their competitors and enhances the value of the betting experience offered. A lack of horse racing is a flaw but is an issue that could be easily rectified and help them improve their rating.

Despite the excellent layout of their mobile site, an app would only further boost their attractiveness to potential punters.

Although relatively new the company has done considerable homework and is hot on the heels of the top tier competitors in the industry. The impact EnergyBet has made in such a short space of time is phenomenal and the reason they are attracting new custom is that the website has the feel of a far more established operation. The future is bright for both EnergyBet and its customers and with expansion in the other markets.

EnergyBet’s User Interface

At first glance the website is sleek, glossy and gives a professional vibe. The site is designed to be used primarily on tablets or mobiles, but in desktop mode it still provides a user-friendly experience. Indeed, it is more impressive than many sites with bespoke desktop design.

The use of colour is dynamic with a dark background and good use of white and yellow accent colours. A rolling horizontal carousel tops the page but is not intrusive and steers customers to the latest offers and events.

Beneath the carousel the top five live events are listed and a tab exists to peruse the top upcoming matches. Beneath that the top five betting events are listed for fast access into the leading markets.

At the very top of the screen there are three main links to the Sportsbook, Casino and Live Casino area. Rather than list all available sports on a left-hand toolbar there is a link at the top of the homepage that takes you to a page where all sports are displayed. There are also subsidiary links to the live betting markets, promotions, a branded store selling Tshirts and merchandise and Energyworld, an area of the site containing articles mainly concerning their sponsored teams.

The homepage is limited, but visually appealing and sensibly displayed.

EnergyBet Betting Markets

EnergyBet offers a wide range of sports betting markets, the sports displayed one click away from the sports tab on the homepage.

At the time of review there were 37 sports listed – football, basketball, ice hockey, tennis, baseball, volleyball, handball, American football, speedway, formula 1, MMA, boxing, snooker, cycling, darts, e-sports, futsal, alpine skiing, ski jumping, golf, rugby league, rugby union, cross-country skiing, biathlon, Aussie rules, auto racing, cricket, chess, Gaelic football, hurling, lacrosse, motorbikes, netball, rally, tennis and water polo. Also available were three non-sports areas – special bets, TV shows and movies and politics.

While extensive in the above areas a number of UK customers will be put off by the lack of horse racing markets on the website.

The markets are easy to navigate and a customer can be inside a game, either live or for a ante-post bet within three clicks of the homepage. A wide range of Asian, handicaps and alternative handicaps are available on football and tennis markets.

The live calendar function details upcoming matches by date and provides a useful planner for the punter who wants to formulate an acca over a longer period or just plan ahead.

EnergyBet Bonuses and Offers

By clicking the promotions tab on the homepage the customer is led to a page detailing attractively all available EnergyBet offers. The offers are generous and at the time of review the company was offering an Acca Insurance package where only four selections were required to qualify, which is better than the five or more wanted by most other betting companies. For a stake of £10 customers could also gain a refund of a football match they had betted on ended goalless. There were also five attractive offers available in the casino areas of the website.

A new customer matched stake joining offer was also available up to a maximum of £25, but the initial balance has to be wagered five times before it can be cashed out.

EnergyBet Content (Live Streaming, Audio Commentary, Radio, Blogs, and Previews)

EnergyBet offer no live streaming or audio options. The only area of the website with added value in terms of journalistic content is found under the homepage EnergyWorld tab where written pieces can be found covering current stories on the company’s sponsored activity. Recent stories centred around Leyton Orient FC and Aston Villa, but there were a few other pieces on Premier League matches. This content was informative as opposed to betting-based and offered no tipster services.

EnergyBet In-Play

EnergyBet’s in-play activity is comprehensive. A full range of markets are available on current sports markets with major match prices visible on a catch-all main screen and detailed match markets available within each game screen. On the bigger football matches the page is well constructed with a pitch graphic at the top of the screen allowing punters to asses the current state of the game, match stats and current markets. It’s done as well by EnergyBet as by all it’s major competitors and is a major strength of the operation.

The only negative is the lack of a cash out option.

EnergyBet Stats & Form

Statistics are available in-play, but no form guides or further information is available pre-match.

EnergyBet Banking and Withdrawal

Customers can deposit a minimum of £10 instantly by card transaction and withdrawals are available by the same mechanisms and usually received in 2-5 days. A full transaction history can be located in the customer’s account.

EnergyBet Customer Satisfaction

A comprehensive customer satisfaction can be found on the website offering the customer the option of contacting the company by email, telephone or via a live chat service. The phone and live chat option are available during business hours and into the evenings.

EnergyBet Mobile App

While EnergyBet does not provide a downloadable application, as previously stated, the desktop site appears as it does because it has been designed to be mobile and tablet friendly. Consequently an app is not seen as vital because the site loads, looks and performs brilliantly on a mobile phone. Save the link to your mobile phone screen and customers effectively have an app in all but name.
