The term total match boundaries refers to the amount of fours and sixes - boundaries - achieved by a batting side in a single game of cricket. A way that a team can get runs in cricket is to hit the ball over the boundary of the field with or without bouncing – this determines whether the team get four runs, for the former, or six for the latter.

How are Total Match Boundaries used in Sports Betting?
As with many cricket betting markets the total match boundaries bet can be applied to all formats of the sport. The details of the bet will be different depending on whether the match is a test, one day international or Twenty20 fixture.
Although a test match is obviously longer than any of the limited overs formats it is a different style of game and T20 especially is played in a much more aggressive manner where boundary shots feature regularly. A total match boundaries bet will usually be set in the form of choosing within a range such as 30-40 boundaries but could also be offered as an over/under style bet.
