To calculate the combined payout it helps to convert each price to a decimal odds format. A sportsbook does this automatically, but the math behind it is straightforward. -130 converts to roughly 1.77, -120 to roughly 1.83, -110 to roughly 1.91, and +105 to roughly 2.05.
Multiply those four decimals together: 1.77 x 1.83 x 1.91 x 2.05 = approximately 12.70. Multiply that by your $20 stake and the total payout is roughly $254.00, which includes your original $20 back. That is a return of around $234 in profit on a $20 bet.
Now here is the catch. If even one of those four teams loses - say the Bills lose by a field goal in the fourth quarter - you receive nothing. The bet is settled as a loss the moment a single leg fails. That is the straight-line structure at work. The big payout is the reward for taking on that concentrated risk.
