What is Next Wicket Method?
There are various ways in which a wicket can be taken in a game of cricket. These include the batsman being stumped, being caught, being bowled, being run out and leg before wicket. The next wicket method refers to the way in which the next wicket is actually going to fall.
How is Next Wicket Method used in Sports Betting?
Whilst cricket offers a huge range of betting markets such as who will win the toss, man of the match and the actual match winners, it is also one of the sports which has the most to offer in terms of in-play betting. The key to placing a successful bet on the next wicket method lies in concentrating keenly while watching the match and making particular note of how the previous wickets have been taken. If the bowler has been spinning the ball in a way which has tempted the batsmen to reach for it, only to find that it swerves and bowls them out, then this might be a good bet for the next wicket method. Another possible example is a batsman chasing a high total in the last over of a match. They may have to go for sixes, which increases the likelihood that they will be caught at the boundary.
