What is Current Set?
Current set refers to the stage of an on-going tennis match.
For example, a men’s Wimbledon tennis match is made up of a best of five set scenario, meaning the first player to win three sets wins the game outright.
In order to win a set, a player must win a minimum of six games but in the first four sets, if the scores are tied at six games all then a tie-break is played
The current set could refer to any of the five sets in which play is possible and refers to the exact set the current match is in (either set one, two, three, four, or five).
The current set is real-time during the game.
How is Current Set used in Sports Betting?
The current set is an important piece of betting in the live sports market and is constantly evolving as each game in each set is being played.
The odds will fluctuate throughout the current set in order to reflect the way the set is swinging, and a bookmaker may suspend betting temporarily at the end of each game to adjust the odds.
Placing a bet on a single set can be done at anytime but betting on the current set of a game can only be achieved during in-play action as it represents the exact moment and set the current game is in.
