What is Both Teams to Score?

Betting on both teams to score is exactly what it sounds like; it means placing a bet at a sports betting site for both teams managing to score during the course of a match. When a bet like this is placed it doesn’t matter who the eventual winner of the match is, or what the score is. As long as both teams are on the score sheet during the regulation ninety minutes plus injury time.

How is Both Teams to Score used in Sports Betting?

The appeal of a both teams to score bet lies in its simplicity and the fact that a bet of this kind isn’t over until the final whistle goes. In a match between Liverpool and Huddersfield, for example, Liverpool might be winning 6-0 in the final minute of injury time, but if Huddersfield manage to grab a lucky consolation goal, the bet will be successful. Similarly, if both teams score in the first 10 minutes, top bookmakers make it possible to place more in-play bets among using the profit which has just been guaranteed.

Choosing the ideal time to place a both teams to score bet involves researching the form of the teams involved. Clearly it would be a bad idea to place this bet on a match involving two highly defensive teams, or a team renowned for a lack of goals. The ideal scenario would be a match between two teams which combine strong attack with weaker defense. It is possible to bet against both teams scoring, and this would be the ideal bet to place if a team which is renowned for keeping clean sheets is involved in the match.

The odds on a both teams to score bet will be improved if it is combined with other aspects of the match, such as the result. A bet of this kind might involve both teams scoring and a draw, home win or away win. Alternatively the bet could be placed against both teams scoring, combined with a particular result.
